EVOLUTION MEDICAL SPA of Northern Cambria Medical Center

Kelly Paronish was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania where her father, Dr William Paronish was doing his residency in Family Medicine at Latrobe Hospital. She grew up in Bakerton, Pennsylvania and is the oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Cambria Heights High School where she participated in 4 years of swimming, and three years of throwing javelin and discus for the track team. 

 

After graduating in 2002, Kelly went to Penn State Altoona and majored in Psychology with a special interest in childhood and abnormal psychology. She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and went on to become a TSS (Therapeutic Staff Support) working in the Hollidaysburg area with children with autism, Downs syndrome, and other behavioral disabilities. 

 

Though Kelly loved her job helping children with developmental disabilities, she always wanted to be an Esthetician as she knew it was her true passion as she found it so rewarding to help others improve their skin health and well being. After much consideration, Kelly decided to attend Altoona Beauty School and completed the Aesthetics program that was taught by Arla Bratton in Altoona. The program curriculum involved developing an expertise in all matters of skin and an understanding of why it is so important to acquire a healthy skin care regimen. She learned about skin structure and its anatomy as well as the the many modern treatments for a wide spectrum of skin diseases and disorders while learning the many procedures that a practitioner can master to improve the overall health and beauty of skin. She was extensively trained in the Dermalogica skin care line and loves educating her clients on that skin care line. Seeing that the skin care profession is ever changing  Kelly is constantly striving to keep her knowledge and skills at a state of the art level.

 

After graduating from the esthetics program in May of 2008, Kelly came to Northern Cambria Medical Center to become a valued addition to our rapidly expanding aesthetics program-The Evolution Medical Spa. Under the direction of her father, Dr Paronish,  Kelly will be performing an extensive array of advanced skin care procedures including customized facials, no down time chemical peels, back facials with massage, lash and brow tinting and perming to name but a few. Beyond being an expert in the use of the Dermalogica skin care line Kelly will also work with the physician grade PCA Skin care line along with Doc  to customize the power of these tremendous products to the needs of her clients. Beyond working directly with Doc on procedures such as Botox Cosmetic, Dermal Filler injections, electrolysis, Advanced Microdermabrasion and Laser procedures including hair removal, vein treatment, antiaging procedures, scar and stretch mark ablation, and acne treatments, Kelly will also be accepting clients independently into her own Aesthetics practice.
